Dear friends, today we will talk about a very important thing – how to find hope and courage during illness. I know, when we get sick, it feels very frustrated, Right? But do not worry, there are many things in our favorite Bible that gives us courage.
Suppose you are lying in the hospital. Only white walls and doctors and nurses are right around. At that time may seem that you are alone. But you know, you are never alone. God is always on your side. He understands each of your troubles, listens to each of your cries.
Remember when you fell and cut your knee as a child? How did your mother comfort you by holding you in her arms? In the same way, God also takes us in his arms during our troubles. He is our healer. His love surrounds us, like a blanket that keeps us warm.
I know, sometimes it seems – “Why did you happen to me?” But friends, God plans we do not always understand. At the beginning of such a picture, just random spots can be seen, but at the end a beautiful picture emerges. Likewise, God is painting our lives. It is our responsibility to believe in Him.
I had a friend who was very sick. He used to read the Psalms every day. He used to say that these poems spoke to his heart. Yes, friends, in the Psalms we can express all our emotions, fears, and hopes. We can tell God everything, and He never gets angry.
And Jesus has to say. How many sick people he healed! These stories are not just history, they give us hope. Jesus is still the same merciful, powerful God today. He listens to our prayers.
You know, it is difficult to find peace during illness. But you can do one thing. Think of God’s promises by closing your eyes. Like, “I’m with you”. These words will give you a fountain of peace in your mind.
Before I finish, I would like to say one thing to you. Remember, God’s love never changes. No matter how sick you are, he loves you. He sees each of your cry, every pain. Take shelter in his lap, find comfort in his sentence.
Friends, I hope these words will give you the courage. If you want to pray for someone, let me know. We will all pray together. May God bless you, keep you healthy.
