Dear friends, today we will talk about an important topic – betrayal and backstabbing. This is something that happens to all of us more or less in our lives. Some may have been betrayed by a friend, some may have been a victim of it themselves.
I will share a story. When I was a child, I had a very close friend. We always stayed together, played together. But one day he slandered me behind my back, told lies about me. I was very hurt. It felt like a stab in the back.
In the Bible, we see that this happened to Joseph. His own brothers sold him. But look, how God did something good even with that bad event. Joseph was able to save his family.
Now think about it, why do we do such things? Why stab someone in the back? Proverbs says that God does not like lies and evil plans. So when we do these things, we not only harm others, but also ourselves. We move away from God.
If someone wrongs you, remember what the letter to the Ephesians says – “Forgive one another, just as God forgave you.” This will give you peace.
And you should be careful not to do such things yourself. Treat others as you would like to be treated. This will increase love and respect among all.
Finally, remember that betrayal not only destroys relationships with people, but also increases distance from God. So friends, let’s all try together not to hurt anyone, not to stab anyone in the back. Instead, show love and compassion to everyone. Only then will we be able to get closer to God.
